    Department of Labor New Overtime Rules: Be Prepared for the Changes

    Earlier this summer, the U.S. Department of Labor announced major changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations, which could affect nearly every business.  The DOL's new regulations double the minimum salary in order for employees to remain exempt from the FLSA's overtime requirements.  That requirement goes into effect December 1, 2016.  Is your company prepared to comply with this and other new rules?  Join Quarles & Brady attorney, Chris Nickels, who will discuss what has changed with the FLSA, what employers should do now to prepare for these changes, and other risk areas of which employers need to be aware.

    Chris advises employers in a broad range of labor and employment law issues, including wage and hour compliance, discipline and discharge, leave and accommodation issues, employee policies and handbooks, reductions in force, among many others.
