We’ve all been hearing about health care reform.  Employer mandates…individual mandates…the marketplace…the exchange…what does this mean to you as an employer?  Join us as Shawn Daughenbaugh, MHA explains the implications of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) on employers and what you need to do to prepare.  Shawn will provide us with a background on PPACA, its implications for employers and how to get your business ready for PPACA and beyond.  He’ll also address some rumors regarding PPACA and will give you the opportunity to ask questions.

Shawn Daughenbaugh, MHA, is the Administrative Fellow at Holy Family Memorial, Inc.   Prior to moving to Manitowoc, Shawn worked at CoxHealth in Springfield, Missouri in a variety of roles which included Corporate Development and Employee Wellness, where he gained exposure working with the HMO and PPO plan offered by CoxHealth. Prior to this position, Shawn served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer.  Shawn has studied and presented on Health Insurance Marketplaces and their effect on health systems and individuals seeking health insurance.  Shawn currently works hand-in-hand with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services as a steering committee member on a regional enrollment network, as well as with the Wisconsin Hospital Association’s Enrollment Council on behalf of Holy Family Memorial.
