    Your Company At Risk: Protecting Your Business, Employees, and Bottom Line

    Manitowoc County may be a small community, but it is facing big problems when it comes to substance use and abuse. From employees unable to pass drug tests, to employees being under the influence while on the job, to employees stealing to pay for their drug use, as well as the impacts of substance use on our future workforce, we can no longer say it is not our problem. Healthiest Manitowoc County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition co-chair Annie Short will share local data of drug use, how substance use impacts your community and workplace, and what businesses can do to impact the health and safety of the community and workplace—and enhance the bottom line.

    Presenter Annie Short, Healthiest Manitowoc County Program Manager, has served in Manitowoc County for the last six years addressing various health concerns, implementing community wellness initiatives and organizing community efforts to improve the health of the County. Annie also is the Northeast Wisconsin Regional Coordinator for the Alliance for Wisconsin Youth, a board member of the Wisconsin Prevention Network, and member of the Wisconsin State Council on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse. Along with her full-time responsibilities, she and her husband own a small handyman business and operate a non-profit organization serving displaced men.

     

    Lunch will include a hot and cold buffet with soup, salad and dessert bar.

    Coffee, tea or milk is included.

    Registration is required – please register even if you have prepaid your meeting fees!

    Meeting Fees are $20.00 for non-prepaid members and $30.00 for guests
